Boeing has announced that it will focus on strengthening its presence in India through investments in local services, workforce development, and partnerships as part of India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Aero India 2023, which will take place from February 13th to February 17th, will be an opportunity for Boeing to showcase its advanced products and services and to meet with customers and industry partners to discuss India's future aviation, defense, and security requirements.
Boeing's Exhibit Theme: "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities"
Boeing's exhibit at Aero India 2023, located at the USA Pavilion (Hall A, A7.2 - A6.3), will be built around the theme of "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities," highlighting local partnerships and investments in India.
The exhibit will feature several of Boeing's advanced products, including the F/A-18 Super Hornet, P-8I, CH-47 Chinook, 737, 787 Dreamliner, and 777X. Visitors will also have the chance to experience the AH-64 Apache simulator and learn more about the helicopter's capabilities.
Strengthening Local Partnerships and Technologies
Boeing is committed to supporting the growth of the Indian aerospace and defense industry by leveraging local talent and its network of over 300 supplier partners.
The company is expanding its support for local customers in India through the establishment of an ecosystem of comprehensive support packages and indigenous maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities through its Boeing India Repair Development and Sustainment (BIRDS) program.
This is part of Boeing's commitment to "Make in India" and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Boeing's Joint Venture with Tata Advanced Systems
Boeing's joint venture with Tata Advanced Systems, Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), recently delivered the first fuselage for six AH-64 Apache attack helicopters ordered by the Indian Army.
TBAL has produced and supplied more than 190 fuselages to Boeing's Apache final assembly plant in Mesa, Arizona.
