A drone (from Quad "four" and Copter "helicopter") is a type of aerial robot that combines a basic propeller mechanism with advanced electronics for a wide range of real-world applications. It is a microcontroller-based embedded system with sensors, flying gear, and other integrated components. This class teaches participants how to create a Drone project from the ground up while also studying the numerous technical ideas involved in creating a functional Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Creating a Drone gives the hands-on experience that an Engineering student requires!

Course Highlights

Build and Test your own Quadcopter

  • Introduction to design and development of Multi Rotor Vehicles

  • Understanding the Electronics circuitry involved in Quadrotor

  • Learn about the Stability and Control of Drones

  • Learn about the working of sensors like Accelerometer and Gyroscopes

  • Hands-on experience on DC motors, ESCs (Electronic Speed Controllers), and Quadcopter Embedded control board

Course Structure

  • Lecture Session - 4 hours

  • Drone Assembly session - 3 hours

  • Drone flying session - 1 hour

  • Doubt clearing session - 1 hours

  • Certificate Distribution - 1 hour

All the above components would be provided during the program to participants in groups of 5 but would be taken back at the end. This is being done to reduce the cost of the program and make it affordable for students who do not want to buy the takeaway kit.

The takeaway kit consists of all the above items excluding the items marked with *. The takeaway kit can be purchased at the venue by paying an additional fee of ₹ 16,500.
