Space Station passes over India, beams back stunning video

NASA has released a video of the Space Station capturing India as it made its journey from the northwest to the east coast on Monday. The pass was marked by clear skies.

The International Space Station (ISS), a flying laboratory hovering about 400 kilometers above the surface of Earth, captured the landscape below. It passed over areas such as Bhiwani, Gwalior, and Jhansi, among others.

"Check out this lovely long Space Station pass over India from earlier today—starting in
the NW crossing the country to the east coast. Check the pass track for the full details on the pass," ISS Above said in a tweet.

NASA also released a map of the cities and towns that the space station passed over.

The ISS has been a hub of research and scientific breakthroughs in space for over three decades and is a permanent address for humans outside Earth.
